Summer Schedule Released

Conditioning and pick-up games from June 7 through July 14 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at  Clearmount Elementary School

Summer League – June 15 through July 15 – by invitation only

Alliance Tournament – July 17 and 18 – by invitation only

Adidas Showcase – July 23, 24 and 25 – by invitation only

Team Camp – July 19 through July 22 at Clearmount Elementary School from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Conditioning and Testing – August 2 through August 5 at Clearmount Elementary School from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Mandatory practices start on August 9 at Clearmount Elementary School from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Varsity – 2009 Results

Federal League 5-1-1

The Varsity boy’s soccer program met most of their team goals this year with 10 wins overall. Their season started with two losses to two District Champions, CVCA and Green. They would go on to finish second in the Federal League. The team’s defense rocked with 8 shut-outs. The offense made the games very exciting by consistently waiting until the end of most games to score the winning goal. The District semi-final against nemesis Kent Roosevelt proved to be one of the best games of the season. The teams were tied 1-1 at the end of regulation and two overtimes. The game finished with a penalty shoot-out . The score remained tied when each team made four penalty kicks (out of 5) in the first series of penalty kicks. It went to sudden death penalty kicks and Hoover lost by a final score of  6-7 on penalty kicks.
